About

About UNDONE

Real stories. No performance required.

UNDONE is an independent, listener-supported podcast about the roads people travel toward - and through - faith. It is for the person who believes, the person who isn't sure, and everyone still carrying questions they have never said out loud.

Each episode is a long-form conversation, not a testimonial set piece. Guests are not asked to perform certainty or deliver a sermon. They are asked to tell the truth about who they were, what broke open, and what it has cost to keep walking.

The show is produced by MediaFyx. It features testimony from people connected to Sawyer Highlands Church and Converge Church, but it is not owned or operated by either church.

The room

How the conversation works

The hosts go first. The guest steps into a room already in motion.

Mike and Brendon do not interview from a distance. They lead with their own experience - belief and doubt, confidence and resistance - then open the door for the guest. That posture matters: it signals that struggle is welcome here, not a problem to be corrected before the microphone turns on.

Salvation is not treated as a single lightning strike. The show makes room for the arrival and the years after - doubt that returns, faith that has to be chosen again, ordinary life that does not stop being complicated.

A question that surfaces across conversations, shaped to the guest's season: What remains undone? It is not a prompt to wrap the story in a bow. It asks what is still unfinished - in faith, in healing, in understanding - and leaves space for an honest answer.

Every episode

The arc of every episode

Five movements - conversation, not a checklist.

  1. Who You Were

The world before faith - character, longing, and life without sermon language.

  2. The Crack

The moment, person, or question that broke the old world open - resistance included.

  3. The Moment of Undone

When something genuinely shifted - disorienting, particular, and hard to perform.

  4. Life on the Other Side

Honest resolution: faith that has to be chosen again in an ordinary, complicated life.

  5. Direct Address

A word to the listener still in the in-between - especially the reluctant seeker in the room.

The name

Why “undone”

The name points to a moment - and everything that follows it.

The title comes from Isaiah's encounter with God in chapter 6 - not a polished conversion narrative, but a man struck silent in the presence of holiness. The Hebrew word damah carries the sense of being brought to nothing: unraveled, disoriented, unable to perform composure.

That is different from destruction without hope. In the same passage, Isaiah is touched, commissioned, sent. The undoing and the sending sit close together. UNDONE holds both - the rupture and the slow work of becoming someone new on the other side of it.

Most guests on this show are telling a version of that arc. Many listeners are still somewhere in the middle - undone by loss, by questions, by an encounter they cannot yet name. The name is an invitation to stay in that honesty rather than rush past it.
